其实俺很希望俺能跟你讨论讨论，可惜俺水平太差，只能吓得不敢发言了。上个月whg07有一次拉着我去听一个关于missing data 的seminar，都快走到门口了，俺还是回来了，因为俺怕俺根本听不懂，在那儿白耽误时间。啥不说了，赶快好好学习去，等俺学成高手了，再加入你们的讨论。

Thanks much ! I got an imputed dataset and have been trying to figure how they calculated their z-score. Looks like each individual baseline statistics was used for the computation ... I am still doing my detective work

It's matter of how much variation is reduced due to more imputations. Rubin 1996, p. 480 said "Often, as few as three to five imputations are adequate in multiple imputation. 3 or 5 times are all fine if you don't have a lot of missing data (less than 20% missing). Please take a look the multiple imputation efficiency table in the link http://support.sas.com/rnd/app/da/new/802ce/stat/chap9/sect27.htm#cmirre showed for the details.

Thanks much for the help ! I will share my code for sure when I done with it. I just have the data but not the code and am trying to repeat what they did to duplicate the dataset. It is a dumb work at this point >

Using imputed data set to get "Z-sore"? Interesting! If you don't mind, could you share your code with me? I would like to view to see how did they do?

I'm guessing. After you got the imputed data from SAS Proc MI, you would get the meas estimater, z-score for each imputed dataset comparing to 0. If you really want to do the test by using the imputed datasets, then use PROC MIANALYSIS, then use whatever procedure you need to do. You will get the summary of between and within variation of the multiple imputed datasets.
